Best Capped Offerings

Why do you want capped if you want to download?

What's your line speed?

What are you gonna do with the data?

I'd suggest Web Africa capped.

This is pretty much a spin-off on my other thread, regarding Openweb. But I went with Web Africa 2Mbps Uncapped today. Registering was easy, my account's live and I'm using it right now.

I hope you like the uncapped. I'm guessing you went for home uncapped. I never recommend that account as the stars fall away quickly. See how it goes for a month and if it doesn't work out I recommend changing to the capped option - they are great accounts!

Exactly my reasoning... the 2Mbps Home Uncapped is the same price as their 60+60Gb Capped solution. Because I was with Openweb, I have no usage figures, so I'm first testing with Uncapped, see how much I'm using per month so over 3 months.

As for Vox Fat Pipe... My first option was to take the 50Gb Fat Pipe with the Uncapped Bolt On. But when I phoned Vox's sales folks, they informed me that they don't allow it anymore. You need to take the Gig4gig option if you want the uncapped Bolt-On. I estimate my usage to be so 90 - 120 Gb per month, and that will work out just too pricy with Vox Fat Pipe.

So you would suggest capped over uncapped data due to stabiliy & no monitoring ??

Afrihost has been the best option for me, with the double data offer currently running.
Great service and speeds, only thing is I find WA slightly better for Streaming.

Depending on what times you need the data you can also look at a TI softcap account where you are uncapped from 12 to 7 I think.
