Best car you've driven lately?

Yeah, if you'll see the post above yours.

My megane's keycard has given up the toast. Now, that whole keyless entry story is great, but without the card in the slot being read, you cannot start the mother****er. No override insert key option. So it's great in theory, but this has pushed me over the limit and I will be swapping this car for something else as soon as it can be started. As an aside, Renault want R4k for a new key. **** the ****ing mother****ers, as they say in the classics.

That's insane. I saw on FB people posting about their Hyundai car keys breaking and needing to get new keys, so I thought this was a good workaround.

Is there any other tech. out there to get around this?

What car will you be getting?

Also, the card is so farked, the central locking doesn't work either.

Dunno, and looking at an X Trail currently, but I'm loving the jazz a lot. Actually, I currently vacillate constantly on what car to get at the moment, so the indecision will probably see me keeping the Frenchy longer than I should.:p

Surely not the best car I've driven but still enjoyable. I just came back from driving my cousins new (to him) toy. An almost mint condition 2002 SLK 32 AMG. In the right colour. Interior & exterior still properly neat.

Folding roof still works perfectly. One thing that does not work is seat heater for driver's seat; passenger one works perfect still.

Engine & exhaust still stock & sounds ok-ish at full tilt.

Engine pulls strongly (260kw new & little lost over the years + 1395kg curb weight). Steering feel & suspension still good. Sits well & brakes well.

R85k negotiated, his a happy camper.

Not the best quality pics but I was pressed for time:

Wow, great deal. What mileage?

Mine also has no driver's seat heater, passenger one works fine.

Lol I knew you would comment

Iirc close to 200 000 kilos. Car is in really good condition. Original seller has a number of cars & put ad on for R100k. Cuz test drove it was happy. A week later called the bloke back said ad said onco. Seller then asked him how much he wants to pay & he said R85k. Done deal.

I did look at the engine last week when he got it & I'm pretty sure it was signed. I'll grab a pic next time I see him in the day & pop it here.

BTW tell your mate he needs a SmartTop. It completes the car IMHO.

Drove my sisters M5 a few months back. What a beast goddamn it 4.4L V8

2012 Porsche 911 Turbo S.

And that will probably remain in place for a long time to come. :)

My brother works at a exotic car dealer, about 2 weeks ago he brought a Focus RS with him, as ignorant as he is he let me borrow it and drove to work the next day on Saturday, the launch control on that thing for manual hot hatch is out of this world.

He's planning on getting the Audi RS3 sportback, now that will be fun.

Drove this, damn what a beast and that interior almost made me wet myself :crylaugh:
