Best choice?

Hey there,

Thank you very much! :)
The R70 pm option sounds good thats gives you three hours of dialup access and mailbox a month.
I think the only way to keep your address is to take the R70 pm option which will give you access to your mailbox and about three hours of dialup access, I contacted mweb last year to find out about the email only option and I was told that Mweb stopped offering this option in 2000 but they were willing to give me this option. You could always get a totally Uncapped OpenWeb 512k ADSL account for only R1369.

No cap, no limits, month to month, no setup fees, torrents allowed.

Looks to me like MrBeep is making use of this forum for his sales tactics ;)

Nice...

Although, doesnt this seem awefully unfare for other IPS's?

One can always promote their own business saying that its the best ;)

I would take advice from someone that has already signed up with openweb, not from sales....

Well he does pay for banner ads so I wouldn't say that he's taking advantage. His presence is valuable in terms of offering technical assistance and the like to people who don't really want to browse different forums looking for answers, much like WebAfrica does. If you notice these are the 2 ISP's who get the most thumbs up in terms of customer service.

If you ask me, every ISP should follow suit and do the same, as long as they pay for their advertising. The more ISP's presence we have on the forums, the better the customer service we can expect of them. ISP's are also able to resolve issues on behalf of customers with backbone networks much faster, and letting us know about progress in the ISP market is a benefit.

The fact that there are ISP's paying for advertising and not taking advantage of using this forum as a medium for providing technical assistance and improving their service levels is their loss IMO - Datapro being an example.
