Best Class to Reroll

Top DPS according to Simulationcraft is now Feral Druids thanks to the Armour Pen changes.
If you check Top DPS on most of the WMO Parses it's typically an Unholy DK and as a bonus you save yourself 58 levels.

Are paladins really that good tanks? the only tanks i see are warriors, warriors, warriors...

I'd never say no to a Pally tank. I prefer them over a bear tank.

Warriors are actually bottom of the Tanking food chain at the moment.
Don't get me wrong, they don't suck. They're just not as good as DK's/Pallies/Ferals, with DK's topping the Tanking food chain.

I would put dk's and pallies on a par with a dk having better aoe than a pally and a pally more survivability due to the shield and it easier to hit block cap

I also find I outstrip dks on threat most of the time on my pala

my first character was a warrior. I then leveled a priest and raided with the priest. The I leveled a warlock and that is currently my raiding character. I have started all the others, rogue, hunter, druid, deathnight. Druid is still at lvl 5. Rogue at lvl 26. Got bored with hunter at lvl 69. deathknight is now my imba looking bank alt at lvl 65. I have a lvl 10 mage who isnt in the guild. Its my "quite time" character, although 5 minutes in Goldshire chat is enough to get me back on my paladin. Just need to break out into Westfall......

Rather enjoying the paladin. Zoomed to lvl 80 with the help of my warlocks badges to get those bind on account shoulders. With dual-spec, you have a lot flexibility. Having plate and healing spells is also a bonus. Already able to heal Nax 10 man. Managed to heal through people caught in Kelthuzad's ice block the other night. Nice break from my other raiding characters.

One major issue you need to consider is rep. If you are alliance, seriously think about staying human. I hated the freekin rep grind i had to do with my ne and gnome.

Correct me if im wrong but a dk can just get loads of strength and parry most of the attacks right? due to the ability that their chance to parry is 25% of their total strength? havent rolled a dk yet, only read a bit on wowhead.

warriors seem to be really good for picking adds that spawn and go for healers. This seems to be the bear tanks major weakness. Paladins are better at holding aggro on stacks of adds. We tend to allocate tasks to take advantage of each tanking classes strengths. Put the bear tank on the boss, have the warrior keep adds off squishies and bring them to the paladin where we aoe the lot. Our warrior tanks seem enjoy this as opposed to the old job of staring at a bosses crotch for 5minutes. As for the bear tanks, all they get to see is their own hairy.....

Then its settled going to go for a Paladin
they are brilliant against undead mobs at all levels and suck badly until about lvl 50 against other mobs, at least compared to undead mobs. If you battle through that, you wont regret it. If you have a lvl 80 main, get the bind-on-account plate shoulders.

I have a druid and a warlock at max lvl, so i can only speak of the ENTIRE lvling/raiding situation with them.. But i got pretty high up with some others too.
Druids are so much fun to play, end of story. Easy to level and easy to pwn with.
Tank, heal, dps(caster/melee) and you just look cool while doing all of this.
Nothing beats it in the versatility department.
My warlock was by far easier to level though.
Much more fun to level and play then even my druid imo.
Cant beat leveling with affliction, pulling and draining until you completely and utterly run out of mobs to kill..and you still end up with over 80% HP and mana after killing, say, 10+ mobs non-stop. Do that all the way until northrend, when you are pretty much forced to go demo for decent leveling speed with minimum downtime.
I have a 35 mage, that char was just a pain to level imo(which is why i stopped)
Kill-in-5s, kill-in-5s, kill-in-5s, drink..... rinse repeat... for every 5 minutes i sent killing i spent 10 minutes drinking to get mana up.
My twink pally was also a pain, all characters with downtime just blow trumpets..
I leveled my girlfriends hunter to 62, also pretty easy, but not as much fun as a lock..
I had a 20 shammy which was fun, but i got bored of it too quickly..
23 rogue which was paaaaaaainful..leveling without being able to heal yourself is seriously more difficult than it sounds..
Only class i have never played is a warrior, but i doubt thats very fun/easy and much different to a rogue (IMO)

As far as wanting to roll something to be top DPS, the chances are that you are going to start at level 1.
Trust me, by the time you reach 80 your toon would have been buffed and nerfed a couple of times, so picking based on that is a silly thing to do imo..
Flame away......... :P

Parry is not a DK's primary mitigation stat despite the Strength bonus.
Dodge is a much better Mitigation stat as it scales best of all Mit stats, so typically a well geared DK will have much higher Dodge then Parry.

I confess that on the weekend, i just let our Dk offtank die. The dudes hp went down so fast, i was spamming flash of light and i couldnt get his hp up. when i tried a holy light he almost died becaue if the cast time . I thought, stuff it. this is too stressfull. ill keep the warrior up. he tanked the dk's add as well for about 1 minute and the boss was down.

it was those bug adds on Kelthezud.

Going according to most DPS and Damage Done

I chose a mage, since the past few years I've been healing and tanking and I felt like I needed a big change. Enjoying it, 61 and climbing. Mage dps is solid, they can decurse, cc is unparralleled and they have great get out of jail free cards like ice block and blink.

Want to be top of the numbers charts? Probably hunter. Personally if pvp aint your thang, warlock might be a good way to go, they're a rare breed and people love having them around for the stam boofs and crack candy and soulstones and summons and and and...

My advise, whatever DPS you choose, stick with ranged. There's such a glut of plate dps (retridin, deekays, wars) getting a raid spot as one is a tough sell.

Lvl a Pally, nuff said on that!

Easiest tank for a druid to heal? Warrior or Pally. DK's tend to bit squishier per me (even def capped).

I am taking a serious raid break and going to do the whole Peeveepee (actual name of one of my alts) thing.

I was thinking:
19 Pally
29 Rogue
39 Elemental shammy
?? Mage

Of all the alts I want to lvl I think it would either be the rogue (a bit skeptical with all the comments on our latency) or a mage.

I've taken a hunter to 73 (Got bored) and my DK is 75 (I might take him to 80 only for prof / gold farming).

Change the Rogue and Pala around.

Pala is best at the 29 Bracket and rogues at the level 19 bracket :)

I think for the next few months, I'll be focusing on healing and tanking with my paladin.

Become bored with dps. Trying to maintain the optim spell rotation all the time. done tanking and healing before and these 2 are by far more challenging than a dps class.
