Best Concurrent ADSL/Fibre Package

Hey guys,
I want to upgrade our internet package but our current internet package is a capped package so allows for multiple concurrent connections. We share the data that we get between our home and my fathers office.

I've done quite a lot of research on which options I have but still have a few questions and undoubtedly someone here will have more knowledge than I on what would be the better option in my scenario.

The package that I have been looking at is:
Afrihost
Office: 4mbps line - R299
Home: 20mbps line + 300 GB - R695
The data will be shared with the office

I have looked at Mweb, WebAfrica, Cybersmart and a couple of fibre options. The mentioned companies work out to be more expense and the fibre options do not allow for multiple concurrent connections besides, Infinity Fibre.

On the website of Infinity Fibre it states "Max concurrent lines 5" but I have no idea on how the concurrent lines work with fibre, there is not line rental for fibre, right? if someone could please explain to me it will be highly appreciated.

If there is any other option that would be more suitable for me please suggest away :)

I think, and I speak under correction, the 5 concurrent connections is a norm with all ISP’s. More than 5 and they consider it a business line. In other words you can have desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones and smart tv’s all connected at once.
Why do you need two lines? If the office and the house is in close proximity you can either use wifi or run a LAN cable.
Beware of capped packages. Those providers are still stuck in the old ADSL way of thinking.
Who is the fibre provider in your area?

Is the concurrent connections not how many lines you can rent out at different premises while still being able to share data?

Most of the Fibre options I've looked at state 1 concurrent connection, even some of the capped ADSL packages state the same.

My fathers office is not in the same property as our home, so there isn't a way to use wifi or run a physical LAN cable to his office from home.

In regard to what are they "stuck in the old ADSL way of thinking"?

Ah. I see what you mean. I do not know enough but that setup sounds to me to be at the very least a business connection. I am sure someone would be able to give you good advise.

I use a capped Vox account at home and at the office. Home is on Openserve fibre and home is ADSL.

They also offer unused data roll over which works perfectly for me.

I took a look at Vox's website but that route works out more expensive than what I initially quoted from Afrihost. Though Hellopeter has very bad reviews for Afrihost xD

So do you pay for an ADSL line at your office and a Fibre line for your home then 1 data package that's shared between the 2 lines? or did you have to get separate data packages for the 2 lines?

I have one data account that I use at both places. My ADSL line is with Telkom and my fibre line is with Webafrica.

The data roll over really helps and this month I have 800 GB available on my 400 GB account.

I've done more research, the options for the line rental are: Telkom, Afrihost, Axxess and Vox.
Vox has the best Hellopeter rating so I'm leaning more towards them.

I just have one last question, did you take out your data through Vox on a business or personal line?
I'm asking as both the line numbers at our home and my fathers office (that we want the internet on) is on a business name, will I still be able to take the Vox Home user Fat pipe data if both the numbers are registered on my fathers business?
There is quite a jump in price for home and business users. Sad, knowing that my fathers office is only going to use about 5% of the data xD

So my final plan is:
Office: 4mbps line, Vox - R289
Home: 20mbps line, Vox - R479
Data: Vox fat pipe 400gb - R299
 
They never asked my telephone numbers for my data account. I use that R299 account.
