Even if you HAD tried it out before commenting it is still irrelevant in the light of the question posed. I have seen the E3 footage, was blown away!

kinect is not gonna work in the real gaming world.
you need some sort of controller or at the very least buttons.
i love my 1st person shooters and i cant see myself tring to play on the kinect
or even worst try to play soccer or rugby on there

I think what everyone is failing to realise is that the Kinect doesn't preclude the use of controllers, but they're not necessary. This approach opens up way more options in terms of gameplay.

I see that Dion Wired has the Falo bundle for R3199. Xbox 360 Elite + Forza 3 + Halo 3 ODST

If you're willing to wait until around November, prices are likely to drop a bit. But I reckon it's a good buy since the Elite on its own retails for about R3k.

Ha! Nice one... a little torn now because I see that there is a new iteration coming out along with Kinect... I really wish they'd just make the selection process simpler, many times I end up buying nothing due to options paralysis.

Suffered from the same thing Then I figured that you have to take the plunge eventually, and forked out R3000 for a 20GB Pro at the time. Sure I could get an Elite for R3000 now, had I waited, but I haven't regretted the decision. I've had many happy gaming hours in the past 2 years.

If you do go with the bundle, be sure to pick up Mass Effect 1 and GoW 1 - they're going quite cheap now. ME1 and GoW1 are going for about R100. Once you're done with them, ME2 and GoW2 can be had for around R250. I promise that these games will keep you hooked. It's the ideal time to get the console now to keep yourself occupied while waiting for Kinect.

I think that that game is meant to be FIFA 10, as far as I know the WC game isn't on PC.
