Best eCommerce Platform

Hi.

I would like to know which eCommerce platform you guys would recommend in SA. The store will initially not be massive but will grow with time.

I was looking at Shopify but I am not 100% sure if going for a hosted solution is the best idea? Has anyone worked with it that can perhaps comment on whether it is worth while?

Then does anyone have any other non hosted recommendations?

The "best" depends on what is important to you. You should rather prepare a list of important features, rank them or weight them based on "must have" and then you can score each product and get the best fit for you.

You will have to make compromises, because usually products have different strengths.

What's important to one person will be different to someone else.
