What's a good Facebook replacement for Android?

The native app is a bastard, a resource hog, wants to run all the time in the background, and lords knows what other sht the devil's at FB are using the app for, its no doubt a tracking and spying bug..

I've tried Simple Pro and Swipe this far, both fairly decent and both want R40 odd to hide ads, so I thought best to ask about alternatives before taking the plunge, maybe there are even some free alternatives.

OK so I checked out frost. It's OK, only one major issue for me is that when browsing the marketplace and let's you scrolled down a few items and then click on something, when you return to the previous page it goes all the way back to the top and not where you were last.
