For almost all people: Calories in - Calories out = Net Calorie Gain/Loss

If you're working out like that regularly you are likely pretty fit so tweaking the above formula is your next step. So either do more calorie burning activities (including activities that promote calorie burn) or limit your calorie intake or both. Subtle changes are the way to go.

There is no such thing as weight loss supplement that is available without a doctor's perscription.

I am loosing i just am impatient at the rate :p i am pretty fit but developed a slight pooch due to being lazy as hell this winter !

I wouldnt bother with phedra cut and all that other crap. If you are training that much (Maybe too much - remember recovery is as important as training) and not losing then you need to look at your diet.

Maybe even if you think you are eating healthily you might not really be.

There is no such thing as a quick win. Its takes months. Don't believe the hype that you can lose in days/weeks.

I agree with the above. Supplementation in those specific products are only ever needed if you a body builder...

As for what your body responds well to in terms of training that is something you would know and should train accordingly.

Stupid example - I use to hit weights hard 5-7 times a week eating healthy etc. Built up great strength but never really lost or cut that much. So I combo'd my traning with HIIT training - rowing, sprints, cycle, skipping, heavy bag etc - results improved...but not a lot at all as I hoped. Was still traning 5-7 times a week.

Then I started jogging 5-10km a day and CUT my weight training to 3 times a week and with running at 4 times a week...my results are awesome. Been hearing all my training years that steady pace cardio is rubish blah blah keep to intense training yada yada...till I tried some of it. Still got my strenght and bulk in mucle, but am a lot more cut than before.

Turns out my body responds damn well to steady pace cadio such as running...who knew.

Keep your diet healthy - 5 meals a day, protien, carbs, healthy fats in each meal, and experiment a bit with training. Going on what you said on how you train, take a nice run in the mornings or at night and see how that helps (or doesn't). Never be afraid to experiment :)

Happy training.

Try reducing your carb intake! It honestly work well! I lost 10kgs in two months and a bit! And I wasn't grossly overweight, went from78 to 68, zero exercise! Keep your carbs under 80 per day and you'll be good to go!

Well generally this is my day

Workout in the morning:
10 minutes treadmill (to warm up)
alternating body sections weights(e.g. this mornign did chest upper back and biceps)
finish of f with 5 minute Row

I have a protein shake afterwards for breakfast

11am will have a low gi snack bar or a fruit or 2

lunch: differentiates btu generally either a diet fuel shake or a bowl of low gi non clustered muesly

3pm another fruit or nuts

Supper: sometimes let myself slack here and have those crumbed chicken steaks or something like that

go back to gym swim for 30 minutes or do the 30 minutes ab workout they have at virgin(really is a killer  )

In general my calories intake is way less then my output, the problem is my stomach si the only real problem area that jsut wotn go away

Garlic extract (or a crapton of garlic)
EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate - found in green tea. But you'll need to have at least 5 pots of green tea a day, so rather take the extract. The brand "Solal" has an EGCG supplement in capsule form - can get at any Dischem)
Potassium (or eat bananas)
Good multivitamin (and enough of it)
Essential oils/fats (Omega-3 supplements)

Obviously, this is in addition to a balanced exercise & eating plan. Supplements like this won't do the work for you, you still have to put in the hours, but they sure as hell speed up the process :)

Wow! You don't really eat a proper meal until supper time!

The only reason that works is becuase people stand so far away that it looks like you've lost weight..

healthy young individual ?

Ask your doctor for phentermine or sibutramine which are used in obesity they cost a fraction of this animal cut and all the other OTC products, if you keep the dose sane and drink loads of water its safe and you will get results you will never have to repeat provided your lifestyle changes.

Diet altering drugs like orlistat is the most potent fat blocker also will be cheaper than most of the supplements that you can by OTC and will be FAR more effective.

They have side effects as do the OTC stuff.

Hate to say it but... you're eating too much cr*p. Protein shakes are about as useful as milkshakes. Snack bars are just glorified candy bars, look at the carb and sugar content. Low GI means it's got more fat than high GI. Fruit apart from berries and watermelon will just fill your pancreas with fructose and then spike your blood sugar. Muesli is full of fat and carbs, you never want to combine fat and carbs. Crumbed chicken, ditto.

That's a really lousy diet, you must be in a serious deficit if you're still losing.

You'd have far better results by eating healthily. Read this: http://www.health24.com/fitness/Diet_Supplements/16-481-512,73175.asp

Very interesting read the problem is im always on the go and alot of options in terms of cooking isnt available also i fully agree with this part

I am only too aware that we are all different and whereas too much carbohydrate and cereal and too little fat in the diet was clearly my problem, there are others who may have trouble with dairy produce or meat and may find it difficult to eat enough of these foodstuffs to replace enough carbohydrate in their diets for there to be a noticeable difference in the way they feel.
