Best free remote track/lock app?

I guess the best advice would be from someone who has had their device stolen and actually had to USE the software - I don't know anyone personally who has, so I've had to follow reviews and other advice. The one that I use is free, and called Prey.
I currently have the free version of Lookout on my devices... Haven't had to use it yet, but I like it.

This app is the best one out there at the moment. Nothing else compares.
It's not free though. I paid around R50 for it.

If it is a Samsung device, create and log in with the Samsung account service on the phone and then go to http://findmymobile.samsung.com/, logging in with the same credentials. Track you phone etc from there.

Avast Mobile Security.
A friend of mine had his phone stolen at Skrillex. Two months later it was sold to someone, switched on, and they received an sms with the number/GPS location of the phone... in Zambia. Needless to say he has his phone back.
