Best Galaxy S2 contract

Usually you can a month or two before your upgrade is due

When checking upgrade eligibility it says 'from 11/08/2011'. My 1st ever contract started in December and I've been upgrading in August ever since.

Not quite. Usually you can upgrade after 20 months into a 24 month contract.

I REALLY want this phone but my contract is only 5 months old :(

No worries. By the time you can upgrade there will be way better phones :-)

Hi Guys,

I have been in the market for a G2 for a while, however I can't seem to choose a contract.
I was wondering whether I should perhaps get the Red Bull Mobile 200 contract with the LG Optimus Black or Moto Defy, sell that, and use this as a contribution towards buying a GII.

If I get around R2000 for the Optimus Black or Motorola (taking into account a relatively low demand for these phones), and purchase the GII via Expansys for R5000 (current retail price for the 16gb version), this will work out to an effective cost of R375 a month over 24 months.
(R250 + (3000/24))

Do you guys think that this is a good idea?
And do you think that there is sufficient demand for the Motorola MB525 or LG Optimus Black to actually even be able to sell it?

Moto fones are really dificult to sell in SA. I know, I literally had to give away a Moto Milestone some time ago. Not sure about LG. Rather get a HTC DHD. Should be easier to sell. Still tops for the HTC range.

Yeah I'm not so sure about this idea anymore, because as you say, Motorola's are hard to sell. And I think it'll be the same for the LG.

I would love to be able to get the HTC DHD to sell, but its not available on the RBM 200 contract. I am keen on this contract because of the 200 anytime minutes, 500mb data and 100 free smses.

So DaDon - did you receive your phone?

Yeh, I was told it would be delivered on Monday, but I actually received it last Friday, was shocked & impress with MTN at the same time ;)
As I said before, anyone wanting to upgrade on MTN, speak to someone in MTN Retentions...

Cheers
D

P.S. I am also VERY impressed with the SGS2 as well :)

no lekker contracts with decent free data. Wonder if I should get the iPhone 4 as it comes with 150meg/month!

MTN SP are offering it with the MTN750+150MB+100SMSes for R879/month...

Any competitive MTN offers out there?

So what deals does Cell C have for the S2?

Been trying to get one via MTNSP. Apparently only their consumer division has stock and they cannot transfer it to MTNSP Corporate accounts. They are suggesting 3 weeks lead time. So can go next door to consumer and get one but then loose the corporate discount. Being a smartphone - would have thought it fits better into the business environment and would have been on Corporate ahead of consumer or at least be flexible enough to move stock between the two divisions. So many organisations are paralysing themselves with TAPE
