Best gaming console for kids

My kids are under 10 years old. I quite like PS because of the wide variety of games. How do Wii and Xbox compare in terms of the Xbox kinect and PS move functionality?

I have an xbox and ps. If you want your kids to be active then I would suggest an Xbox with Kinect. Some good games that will keep them on their feet. Sure the PS has the move but Kinect will utilise their entire body.

At the end of the day though, its personal preference

I have Wii U, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Wii U is the best for kids but titles are mainly exclusives which cost around R400 to R600 but not much variety ie. no NFS and the likes.

PS3 is good for the free games on PS Plus but I find the exclusives not suited for kids.

XBox 360 + Kinect is what the kids in my family enjoy the most. They seem to like the interactive motion sensing titles the most and even the other games like Halo seems suitable for the younger ones.

XBox with Kinect.

The XBox is enjoyed by my 3yr old, 7yr old and 14yr old. A lot more suitable game titles available on this console. Extra controllers are cheaper as well. You can just get the 4GB version and use flash drives to expand the storage.

PS3, great but I'm limited to the number of suitable titles. The only exclusive they play on it is Little Big Planet. Extra controller is expensive.

As for the WiiU, I found the titles to be too expensive to purchase it.

My kids have an XBox with Kinect, PS3, PSPGo, Leappad2, Leapster, jungle gym, bicycles, trampoline and LEGOS!

Its all about moderation and setting a balance in their lives. They will often stop playing on the XBox to go play outside.

I would say wiiu but to be honest if you want to futureproof it get a ps4 or xboxone. They will want to play more advanced games than mario brothers soon.
