Best Gaming mouse

Logitech G9x or G500 IMO.

I have the G9x....it's a damn sweet mouse...took a while to get use to tho.

my fav gaming mice over the years

Logitech Mx 500 > Logitech G9x > Logitech Mx518 -> MS WMO 1.1 > Razer Copperhead (not so great)

I suggest you scroll to the bottom of this page and read the similar threads... this gets discussed every week.

Steelseries Sensei.

The problem with the Steelseries range is that they're ambidextrous. So you're getting no benefit of a right hand moulded mouse, for example. Like the Sensei (and probably others) has thumb buttons on the left and the right, compared to right handed mouses with thumb buttons just on the left... The Logitech right hand moulds are legendary. Razer copied it and are also very ergonomic for right hands. I'm sure the Steelseries range are still very good, but the ambidextrous business deters me from even wanting to try.

Well, I acquired a Razer Mamba at the Esquire Firesale and it seems to work.

How does that rate against the Logitech G9x? Razer wasn't even mentioned yet...

3G or 4G? Its shape is good, similar to the Logitech right hand style (G9x is a bit different). Mamba is a bit narrower and is perhaps more of a palm grip than the palm/claw grip of the G9x. I feel the Mamba has too many buttons in not the best positions. Overall a good mouse. Much of it comes down to personal preference.

I played with the Logitech G9x some, wasn't a big fan of the design, but also not a whole lot of hands on time. I used a G5 for a long time and it's a damn comfortable mouse, with customizable weight distribution it's suited for anyone, whether you like a heavy or really light mouse, the G500 is the next generation on that same design, and I'd suggest that.

Love my Razer Mamba 4G. Both wired and wireless, works brilliantly for browsing the web and hardcore gaming. adjustable lights and a charging dock sweeten the deal.

I can vote for the logitech G9 it is a great mouse also the logitech mx518 if your on a tight budget. As for razer I suggest you try one out before buying it.I had a razer copperhead I could not get use to it.
At the moment I'm using the coolermaster inferno which I bought based on so many good reviews and I have to say it is the best mouse i've used so far.

Agreed, I also had the G5 until I upgraded to the G9x. It follows a more standard right hand palm grip design where the mouse is taller which fits into the palm better. G9x isn't as tall, so is more of a claw grip.

MX518 replacement is the G400.

(Same shape as the G5/G500, but with optical instead of laser and a few diluted features.)

There is no such thing as The Best Gaming Mouse applicable to all. What works for one person might not work for the next :D

My favourite mouse of all time is the Logitech G500. The G9x comes a close second. Razer Mamba 4G third :D

G500! had mine for yrs now and to be honest still one of the best around
