What are my options? Need something R2000 or below. Upgrading my PC

My previous XFX ATI Radeon HD5770 packed up just out of warranty...not sure if I want to get another ATI?

Im doing this upgrade specifically to play Black Ops II and MOH: Warfighter.

Im pairing it with an i5 and a SSD and possibly 8gb of RAM or will i need more?

Let me know please :)

Wait for the GTX650, its less than half a month away now.

will it be under 2k?

Yeah, it'll retail for around $2000 and will drive prices down for both the GTX560 and the Ti version as well. The GTX650 will be similar in performance but will retail for less and consume less power.

$2000. Sounds like a bargain.

My GTX 550 Ti was R1500, not bad for the performance. But if your ceiling currently is R2000, you can get a 560 for just under that.

EDIT: BTW you can have my GTX 550 Ti for R1200 if you want :) I have upgraded, so.

I'm in the same boat as you (looking to upgrade, not replace) but with similar budget, my killer is just that I need a PSU as well.

I've been spending some time on the rebeltech.co.za website, they have both NVidia and AMD cards, and the pricing is rather good.

You need a card now. Now point in waiting when you don't actually have anything.

I'd say grab a 7770. They are about R1500 now at www.prophecy.co.za

The 560 is one of my options.

would you buy another Alfa Romeo if the last one you owned broke down constantly?

Your logic is not sound, if cars were anything like computers we'd all be driving fuel cell powered cars that run on distilled water.
