Best Google Chrome extensions

I recently started using chromium, and I'm happy so far. But there are 2 things bugging me.

No native gui for proxy settings (unless you are a Gnome or KDE user, which I'm neither)

There is no Offline option either :(

I also seem to have a problem with the Reply to Thread button on this forum when using chromium-5.0.307.1. This happens after I have logged on to the forum, before I logged on it is fine. The only current way of replying for me when using chromium (aka Google Chrome opensource) is to click on the advanced post button. Anybody else experiencing this?

Yip...only on this Forum though. I can use the "quick reply" ...that still works.

Adblock for chrome is better than Adsweep.

Also Flashblock is another great extension.

Adsweep hides adverts?

Now why on earth would I want to hide them?

I DO NOT WANT TO DOWNLOAD THEM!

Agree! I use Adthwart for Chrome but it also just hides them (but still downloaded them). Adblock Plus in Firefox prevents it from being downloaded in the first place, which is the way it's supposed to be.

I like Google Chrome, it loads quick, is simple and renders fast but I've always stuck to Firefox because of the numerous extensions which I've come to rely on. However, if Chrome can build up a similar useful extension list, then it could be a valid choice as default browser. Currently looking at Opera 10.5, not bad either!

Yup, apparently it's an api issue with chrome and how/what extensions are allowed to do. Till that is sorted i remain on firefox but there after i will be moving over. Seems to me combo'd with other useful features(like the bookmark storage thing) soon they might as well have a chrome user log in with your google account which auto sets up your browser to be the same as you use
