Best HP Notebook for around R12k?

Looking for an HP Pavilion Notebook for around around R12k. Anyone seen any good deals on them lately?

We've got a decent range, what is the purpose of the machine? Gaming? Office? Mobility?

Although I'm using it for pretty simple things (bar the odd bit of Photoshop), I want it to be as much of a desktop replacement as possible. I'm an engineering student, so going to need to load whatever apps they give us from varsity. I don't game or anything, but I'd rather get as high specs as possible so that should I ever want to game, I can.

The HP4710 is noteworthy. We've sold a few to a engineering firm, and they're pleased.
