Hi Guys,

Can anyone recommend a good ftp server that is also freeware and also contains plenty of information such as overall statistics on each user(s) and/or on server with maybe something like a hit counter so i can see what is more popular.

Ive so far used programs such as zFTP and FileZilla Server but these just really show you who's connected, what they getting (file and speed wise ) and how long it will take and not much else.

Im currently using BulletProof FTP which is more or less what im looking for with respect to added extra's such as stats and hit count but unfortunately has a $40 price tag, which is to much for the type of server im running ( which btb is small fries compared to large/extreme ftp servers ).

Any help would be great
Thanks

What sort of information are you after? Have you seen Filezilla's logging capabilities.

Don't most FTP programs have links to FTP servers?

Yes they do but only to their own sites afaics.

Sometimes a little searching helps... :p

You very right, searching does help but im almost certain there is ALOT of these freeware apps out there but, hoping, through some peoples experience and reccomendations i wouldnt have to spend days if not months dl'n each one and seeing what its like.

On Windows? what about IIS?
i try stay away from ne thing windows related, the os is enough to deal with but will look into IIS ( maybe, just maybe its something worthwhile.

Information like, most popular aka hit counts, total downloads on a whole scale and individual so i can see who to look out for when it comes to gaming time. Id post a screenshot of bulletproof but unfort the trial has run out so uninstalled it. I did use filezilla but the only log i could find was a list of who logged on and when along with what directories they were looking in and what they pulled ( mostly all ftp have this feature )
