Good Evening

I have a question I think someone here as an answer for!
I have been into web development/design since the age of 18 before it became cool, or folks decided to do it because it pays good money! I have about 3 years experience in web development too many things to mention, So I am interested in doing some certifications because it would be put me ahead of the pack, because I have experience and it's not something I just do for the money, I do it because it is my passion.

I have some graphic designing skills in PS and Adobe CS Suite, but not enough to fulfill the positions I would like to fill, I am about intermediate in measure of experience in frameworks for php, concepts like mvc and oop, I have lots of experience in frameworks like uiKit, Bootstrapper(twitter), materializecss and gantry, I would say I am intermediate in many technologies with libraries like JS with Jquery, Frontend coding like Html and HTML5, CSS & CSS3, css precompilers like less and sass, do not forget Mysql.

I am able to proficiently handcode in all of these, The point I would like to get to is I want to do certifications but short programmes like 5 day courses, because I already know everything to pass the exams and it's much cheaper to get certifications straight away instead of boring myself with 12 month programmes. Could someone here please tell me, what would be the best route/Institution to go/use I have thought about w3schools but not many folks realize that they set the standards for the web.

Would it be safe to go with their certifications or could someone suggest a national college/institution! I cant use the university because I dont have matric and it is too expensive, I believe because I have experience if I do certifications I will have a much better chance of getting the job I need to study even further!

Look at unisa Bsc Informatics, yes it will take years but a degree and years experience will get you more job interviews.

I think you are mistaken, w3c and w3schools are not affiliated.
With regards to web design, your designs should speak for you and not your certification. My opinion anyways ...
