The other day I saw an advert for Luno offering you the chance to earn interest on your crypto? I havent been able to find it on their site yet. Anyone know more about this

Another option that I am looking at is pancakeswap and steaking out some doge there. Im just not sure how it works yet. Are you doing any staking?

Whats the best/easiest way to earn interest on your crypto?

Depends on the crypto I guess.

As best as I can tell it has to be baked into the protocol. So you should be able to work out if whatever crypto you hold has a staking option

And Ethererum soon.

Right now pancake swap lets you stake with 1000 doge.
Staking on eth2.0 requires 32 eth to stake :(
This is actually just if u wanna run ur own validate node. Binance has an ETH2.0 staking section for smaller amounts but iirc its 128 day lock. The Luno saving wallets are in the wallet section. I think it's BTC ETH and USDC atm. Just ur run of the mill 4% on the two big ones if u move your balance from the normal wallet into the savings one on the site wallet section. USDC has a bit higher I think since it's pretty much just a stablecoin. If u have more diverse portfolio and looking to increase on it then this is your friend

www.defirates.com

Swap to the 30 day average and then plan from there. I heard eth gas fees are pretty low with the massacre atm so u cud move stuff around for less than it wud be normally. Staking coins tho is something else and another discussion altogether but the concept is the same, just not mainly defi orientated but more native

Only some countries though...waitlist is apparently a billion miles long

Thanks for that, I have some eth in luno so moved it into the savings wallet.

It's only staking if it's in the protocol. Staking your funds are pretty much guaranteed.

The whole DeFi things seems like a fad and quite dangerous since you have no idea who you're dealing with. Binance has some pretty good savings options. Unless it's a stable coin I won't lock anything in though as the landscape is just too fast changing and even then you might miss out on something good because your funds are locked.

Good advice this. I can't recommend enough having most of your funds on a hardware device like a ledger when doing Defi staking. That way u always own your coin and u only tie into the defi site to grant enable and disable its various admissions to certain smart contracts

Exodus also allows staking (your entire balance is staked), but can be withdrawn at any time.

It depends on the crypto you are talking about.

Nexo has the highest interest on BTC I have seen.

BNB you can earn on average 27% return on your BNB staking them on the network to help confirm transactions. You can do this through he BCS wallet or Trust Wallet.

I have lots of pancake as well that I make good returns on. Its a nice way to earn new coins you think might take off. If none of the sh1tcoins tickle your fancy you can stake your cake to earn more cake, which I am doing.

Staking your doge on pancake is safe IMO. checkout https://www.certik.org/ which lists pancake as the safest platform. IMO platforms like pancake are a kind of decentralized PoS or decentralized BNB, which you can also stake on binance to earn other coins. People have to get their tokens and coins into the market and platforms like pancake offer a good way to get them into the market. If you put up your doge to earn cake there is no harm in that and you stand to benefit from the potential upside in cake which I think is massive.

I don't think its worth your while staking anything on Luno or Altcointrader. You can get higher interest rates elsewhere. I think those guys take your coins and deposit them elsewhere where they earn higher interest rates and take a margin.

amen ...

If you looking for investing in future projects, you can buy Secret (SCRT) and stake it. 23 day freeze period. 29% APY. They also have a defi platform where you can stake in LP's.

Just scroll down on the main wallet screen and at the bottom are Savings Wallets.
