Best interest rate

Hi -

Anybody know where I can get the best interest rate for a fixed deposit / call account / whatever.

Amount > R500K, any period up to 180 days.

I'm also over 60, so qualify for old age (if it helps)

I can't quite remember the details now, but I recall Nedbank having one of those call accounts with an interest rate of 6-7%.

Hey Mike. Also from what I hear you can negotiate a bit, especially if you are older. If the amount is much higher than the bracketed amounts they can up it a few points I think. All the big 4 have a rates page that summarizes rates for all their products though.
