Best internet solution for me in Lenasia

Hi All,

I am a total noob with this sort of thing, but I am looking for the best internet solution for me. I live in Lenasia and am looking for the best ISP. All I want to do is the usual - YouTube, Social Media, etc. with a decent download speed. I have a budget of around R450 per month or less. I was with Neotel and the connection really sucked. There are telephone lines in the house I am staying but it is not my house so I am not sure I can use these. I am looking for Wifi whther it be 3G or ADSL, LTE whatever.

This all depends on how much data you are going to use but because you say Youtube you are going to need a decent amount of data.

You can use the Telephone lines you just gotta get them activated which could take some time. You can get a 4mb/s line on Afrihost with 100gigs bundled for R458.

If you can't use the Telkom line or don't use too much data Afrihost has a mobile version where you pay R300 for 6 gigs and then double it with Afrihost Plus to 12 gigs for R400. You just gotta buy a mobile router which is about R1000

@OP - there is iBurst coverage in Lenasia, but stay far away from them as I'm using iBurst (from the Lenasia tower) and it is not always working

Some sites load fine, others just refuse to load
Email doesn't work
And the kicker - I can access iburst.co.za from mobile and from the office network, but not on the iBurst network.

Also - have you purchased a prepaid SIM and made sure you get good coverage and speeds for Telkom prior to signing for a contract? It will save you a lot of hassle later.
