With Afrihost buying Cool Ideas I will obviously need to find a new ISP. Been with them for 3 or so years and its been great but I have been with Afrihost before and it was really bad.

Looking for recommendations based purely on international gaming latency.

If you REALLY need to move try Websquand / Rocketnet

Having said that there is nothing (thus far) to indicate anything would be wrong with Afrihost owning CISP - they remain separate entities and will collaborate where it makes sense

@AfriNatic @PBCool

Cool Ideas are not changing.. For the time being anyway, as per the owners message..

I will be staying with them and if things change to afrihost levels I will move.. until if that happens, I don't see a reason to move away..

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for sure. It just seems like it can only be a negative thing.

Axxess is owned by Afrihost, they have hardly changed at all over the years, if anything you could argue their support has gotten a lot worse where Afrihost support has drastically improved, so if they really were dictating, Axxess's support would be as good as Afrihost as well as their pricing would be identical but they are not.

Why would a company go mess with the best performing ISP in the country? Makes no sense, both Rodent and Paul also mentioned they had a clause that stated management and staff could not be changed for a few years (i don't remember the finer details) at first i was worried but i have trust in the CISP guys.

And if push comes to shove and the popo hits the fan at that point a migration will happen.

They will remain separate entities and networks. I also got burned with AH back in the day, but since pure fibre, I've not had any issues. So, IMHO, this is an over-reaction, save yourself the hassle of moving and do nothing.
