Best ISP - MW2/Black Ops

k so my bro bought himself a PS3 and wants to start playing a bit online.

now besides having a huge SA friend list so you can join local games for a nice ping,
which ISP besides Afrihost and Mweb, are best for this?

this weekend was quite bad as he almost never had yellow bars for very long in-game.

if you play these games on weekends as well, pls post your ID's or nicks.

It's a good thing to have Green bars.

If it's local, then IS seems to be the choice, however, I have great success with Openweb Gold. International is good and local is 100%. Get a gaming gig or 2 as backup in case there are problems.

both those are IS based: Mweb is an "Shaped Uncapped" and the Afrihost is a "Capped Unshaped". would have really thought the Afrihost would have given better performance being Unshaped, but at times it was worst than the Mweb.

the only solution I can think of is getting him a few local players in his friend list whom he can join on and hopefully they will be playing "local" games with other SAFFERS.

thought of maybe giving a SAIX based ISP a try as well since I would only need a small account, but don't think will do that until can get confirmation that it WILL actually help.

all in all tbh, I would have given up long ago at the rate his ping was going and for red bar he didn't do too bad in quite a few rounds.

SAIX and IS have conflict. I know cause i used IS and my brother SAIX, and we always had problems until he changed to IS. Remember though, even if it claims to be unshaped, there is still different levels of unshaped. International is horrible regardless of backbone. Local should fix the lag problems, just keep internationals out of your local games. There are a few choices of backbones - IS / SAIX / VB / ALTECH and some other blends. IS probably your best bet. I have friends playing over 3G and do quite well on local.
