Best Linux for Laptop?

Hi
I'm wondering what other people are using on their laptops and if they're happy with it?
Ease of installation, auto detecting your hardware, working modems (although this isn't important), proper display drivers for laptop screens (most important) - that sort of thing.

I have a HP pavilion ze400 and have used Suse 9.3 & 10.1 / Ubuntu 5.10 / Mandriva 2005 on it, all work well, no hassles
