So I pulled the trigger this weekend on the 27" iMac. Such an awesome machine, takes out a ton of the regular pc headaches which I am not interested in dealing with anymore. Now to start pimping it with some great apps, what are the best recommendations?

So far I have:
- Divvy
- TotalFinder
- Alfred
- Dropbox
- Evernote
- Some games, WoW, SC2 and Portal2

Shoot! :)

Parallels Desktop - Just in case you miss windows...

Twitter, Pages, and Perian for video playback in QuickTime (most videos)

Twitter
Onyx for maintenance
Get Steam and see what mac games are on special
Filesync. Simple syncing tool for files and folders.

There are one or two threads on MyBB already, I think the best one is at: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/290135-Ideal-Mac-Software

My personal must haves are Perian and Flip4Mac to play all video in QT, iWork (but you might prefer MS Office 2011), Aperture ('tho you already have iPhoto and that's pretty good as it is), AppFresh for keeping apps up to date, Calibre an e-book reader, CleanMyMac for maintenance, Cyberduck or ClassicFTP for FTP, Handbreak for ripping DVDs, Micro Video Converter for converting video for iPod or iPhone, SpeedDownload a download manager, Stuffit for zip and RAR files 'tho The Unarchiver is pretty good and is free, TeamViewer for remote desktop access, Toast for burning CDs and DVDs 'tho Finder works pretty well, Transmission for torrents, Unison for newsgroups and 1Password. You might also want to have a look at Sophos anti virus, just 'till you figure out you really don't need it.
Some fun ones to have a look at are DaisyDisk to check your disk usage, CandyBar for managing icons, FontCase for fonts, Gimp for graphics, Tidy Up! for duplicate files and djay for mixing a track or two.

++1 for 1Password. The developer even gave out gift licenses during Christmas last year which promptly went to my wife.
I use Burn, a FOSS cd/dvd authoring program that nicely picks up where Finder stops. I have not used Toast or anything commercial similar in years. Even burns old .bin and .cue images.

My other favourite is my Elgato Hybrid TV tuner. EyeTV is awesome!
