With my vodacom contract (Smart S) about to come to an end I've been looking around and noticed that MTN and Telkom have some decent contact packages. Telkom for example allows you to call other telkom and telkom mobile numbers for free plus 1GB data. MTN also have 1GB data for the same price at Vodacom you only get 250mb.

What network are you using and why?

VC signal in my part of the world is like an uneaten piece of KFC in a traffic cop's car after 5pm. Something no one has ever heard of.

Dont quote me, but I think Vodacom might be releasing new tariffs in April.
And the ones in the current brochure, those weird Flexi 185 etc tariffs, are they the one hit wonders?

What I am referring to is Vodacom changed from the Smart S/M/L to the + versions of those packages which included more minutes and data, then two months ago those were reverted back to the normal non + versions with less minutes and data. I have heard in April new ones will be released, but not sure what those would be.

Generally on the latest FreeMe 1GB you get inclusive 100minutes to any networks as well as the calls to other telkom numbers. Some might come with a free 5GB for 3/5 months depends tho.

MTN have just increased pre-paid by 25%
Now I am going to finally leave them. But to who?
Only want prepaid. Not a heavy user of voice or data
Have fiber at home with Vox

Telkom seem have a good all round package - but want a 24 month contract:mad:

They have freeme contracts on month to month terms. Its on their site, also have freeme topup month to month. Maybe go instore to make sure you get what you want.

I'm with FNB on their Flexi month to month contract. I can change my package every month. Love that feature. I also get 15% back in eBucks.
