Hi .. a request to the admins, can we possibly have a sticky listing the best, cheapest, most feature filled and worst modems as well as those that work and those that do not work with telkom ADSL ...

I'm looking for a modem and decided to actually spend some money on it but there is no general consensus here on what to buy ...

Ok I have decided on the NetGear DG632 - It has all I need and nothing I don't ... jsu t don't know if it has a web interface tho / telnet access ...

I'm going for blackdot ... for about R850 ... but I'm getting SERIOUSLY peeved off with them ... I've been trying to get hold of the sales pple for a quote and they don't return phonecalls or emails ... peeevs me off ...

I bought myself a Samsung AHT-E310 USB ADSL modem in the UK for £40 and it's a champ!!! I used it for over a year and never had any problems with it - just awesome download speeds from Kazaalite and every web site in the world...

Not sure if you can buy it here in SA, but if you find one, buy it!! [^]
