Best password managers

This wholly unnecessary step is what irritates me enough not to use LastPass as much as I probably would otherwise. Just show me the information, then ask me if I want to edit it.

I've recently gone for paid bitwarden. Love the vault feature and working well on Windows machines, Macs, Androids.

If there is one thing that I am happy to pay for it's a password manager.

I am skeptical of free password managers. Nothing is for free, and your secrets are probably the one thing you may want to invest in paying a relatively low fee for , for the piece of mind.

I find it a bit silly to hand out password management to 3rd parties when your OS has it built in.

Only makes sense if you have the same OS (Provider) across the board which I believe only Apple is doing.

If you have Windows on your desktop you can’t easily sync that information to your iPhone or Tablet.

Although I have seen Microsoft Authenticator add some auto fill functionality lately? So maybe it’s possible now?

But yes I fully agree to keep this away from third parties if at all possible which is why I use Apple Keychain and a self-hosted Bitwarden.

What annoys me the most with LP is that I can’t just add multiple URL’s for the same user/pass combo and need to make multiple entries instead.

I use a paid version of 1password which works across my combined Apple and Windows ecosystems so very happy with that as well. It works offline if required, and syncs when connected. Browser integration can be a bit annoying on Safari, better on Edge and Chrome.

If you don't think you need one of these, it means your passwords are either easy, or you reuse your passwords.

Or you have a photographic memory.

If you haven’t noticed he’ll come up with any old kak story just to be contrarian.
