I remember seeing some incredible stats on AppleInsider a couple of months ago. Something like 50% of all mobile ad requests worldwide come from iPhones.
The iPhone and iPod Touch account for around 30% with the iPhone being around 17% by itself, though of course both use the same browser which definitely is the best browser on a mobile device.

iPhone
- iPhone and iPod Touch are still the Kings. Between them, the devices had 16.8 million unique users on AdMobs network, and accounted for 30% of all ad requests
- That figure is actually down slightly from last month. Apple lost 1.4% of the total ad share. Samsung was the biggest gainer, adding 0.9% to its requests, for a total of 11.1% of the global share.
- In terms of actual handsets, the iPhone dropped slightly from 18.6% to 17% of the global share. The iPod Touch actually picked up a little going from 12.8% to 13.1%
- The ratio of iPhones compared to iPod Touches sold globally is remaining steady at around 2 to 1. Apple claims the actual figures are 26.4 million iPhones 18.6 million iPod touches
