Vodacom, Cell C and 8ta have good prepaid promotions. The 8ta deal as mentioned above is probably the best priced BUT beware of reception issues!

How many Gbs per month do you require?

Are you limited to 5GB a month, or do you have to limit yourself ...

You can use it at whichever rate you want, so if you want it to last 12 months you might have to keep your usage in check.

Alternatively you could get 2GB + 1GB for R149 from 8ta

No prepaid... really?

And for some people its not an option, either because telkom is **** and after all these years still cannot provide a stable connection to a lot of areas, too expensive(analogue line, dsl line, and data>R149 for 2gb+1GB).

But with 8-ta you must make sure you have signal, otherwise cell C.

@op how much data do you need, or how much you willing to spend. If you give us your general location, should be able to check what would be best for you. And depending on YOUR NEEDS adsl might just be the better route.

8ta 60 60! Assuming reception! But if you use below 7 to 10GB a month go with wireless. It's cheaper than adsl plus line rental and so on
