I am looking for a program to record some in-game gameplay, anyone know which program works best for this?
I don't mind paying for the software either.
Might even start a youtube account and post the vids there, but it will be mainly just be for private use.

I know a few people use fraps for this, but I have read that a lot of people complain that fraps slows your comper down to a crawl.
I was also looking at playclaw, which seems to be kinder on the pc's resources.

Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated.

FRAPS and no, it doesn't slow your comp down to a crawl any more than anything else would when recording at 30FPS and 1920x1200.

I'm yet to find a decent codec that compresses FRAPS though, but I'm chalking that up to me only recording video when I have to :p

Pitbull dude, speak to Sky, but I think he uses Fraps as well.
