best ps3 games ?

hey dudes just connected my ps3 (my sons :D ) to my 42 inch lcd tv and i must say man it just rocks the clarity and contrast and all good things that come with high definition is just the best.... now that i can see this beast in action with my lcd tv i was wondering if you guys can recommend some of the best ps3 games to be played on the big screen at the moment just have grand turismo

grats rexter. i know that "just HD" feeling when i switched from my telefunken to my lcd :D
i would say it really depends on ur fav genre but graphics wise they all look fantastic.
lets see.....MGS4, heavenly sword, drakes uncharted, LBP, folklore. even tekken 5DR looks smooth.

MGS4 DEFINATELY!

But search YouTube for gameplay vids of all the games mentioned above and decide for yourself. Depends what genre of games you like / don't like.

Fifa 09 is a great party game.

I got bored of LBP within the first week (although it was amazing the first time I played it, i admit that it does get boring). Luckily I was in the beta and didnt waste R720 on it.

Lego Indiana-Jones is also a nice co-op game for 2 players (and at some places 3/4 players)
 
I dont like the ps3 as a console @ all (I have my valid reasons) but Uncharted is an awesome game and a must buy IMO
 
uncharted was very cool. lol. i remeber the first time i played it, thought the game was freezing through the intro video until i realized it was ingame and i could start moving around the jungle...
 
oh yeah i wanted to add that mgs4 and uncharted are old now. get midnight club LA. great racing game. resistance 2 and bioshock are also awesome but not appropriate for the kiddies. try the ratchet and clank ps3 games... family fun. look awesome in full hd. and lots of hours of gameplay...
 
My subjective list of the best PS3 games, in no particular order:

- Metal Gear Solid 4 (just an awesome, must-have title. more than a game, an experience)
- Little Big Planet (revolutionary. the squeals of delight from anyone who plays is priceless)
- Everybody's Golf World Tour (hands down the best golf title on any platform. forget the Tiger Woods series)
- Unchartered (now with trophey support. superb, immersive game-play. outstanding graphics)
- Pro Evo Soccer 2009 (also available on Xbox, but much more flexible editing on the PS3)
- Ratchet and Clank

Other honourable mentions: Call of Duty 4 (5 just been released, reportedly just as good), Grand Theft Auto 4, Pro Evo Soccer 2009, Devil May Cry 4, Bioshock
 
Grab Uncharted and Heavenly sword, both where really good and are now platinum games on PS3 and should cost around R335 or less, new. Also check out www.ps3za.co.za for the local PS3 community. They also got a marketplace where guys trade and sell old games, maybe you can pick up some deals on the older games you do not yet have.

MGS4. Also has one of the best sound (when you play it through your home theatre) of all.
