Best PSU For R1700

So I have to get a new power supply due to the fact that my current one's fan is failing. Thing is when I get the new power supply I want it to last and I mean LAST, also I'm looking at the modular market and at the 750w maybe 800w range, if you look at my Pc specs you will see that I don't need a lot of power. Now I have been looking at the Corsair AX750 and so far I am going for it. Do you guys have any recommendations on other PSU's to look at? I am looking at the modular PSU's simply due to the fact that I want to cable sleeve it later maybe late Jan or Feb. I was recommended my Rebeltech to get these kits (2 of them):

What do you intend to run with that PSU?

Dual high end graphics cards? Only then it would make sense to spend that much on a PSU.

What I'm going to do is use it for my current setup then when I upgrade I will use it for that setup also, will maybe get another 6870 (mid range)
 
Although both virtually identical Seasonic OEM designs, the Seasonic X-750 is a negligibly better PSU, with less voltage fluctuation on the IIRC 5v rail. Really not important at the end of the day, I'd take the Corsair's 2 year extra, 7 year warranty.
 
Why not replace the fan on your current PSU ?

Edit: OK, I see you intend upgrading in the near future
 
When you say sleeving, do you want to do each wire individually, or just a bunch at a time? And is it for the looks, or just sommer? Cause that Vantec stuff is not very good at all when it comes to aesthetics.
Then, if you still want to sleeve, full modular is the only way to do it without voiding warranty

Haha I think you said the same thing on the other thread of mine, basically I want to do the wires individually, for looks, yeah the PSU I'm considering is fully modular.
 
Lol couldnt remember if it was you or someone else :p But seriously, if you going to do the individual wires, save up for MDPC sleeving otherwise you're just going to be disappointed

Thing is most of the cable will be behind the motherboard so I guess it doesn't matter if it looks cheap. So not sure what to do. Will cross the bridge when I get there. Will make a thread about it when I get around to doing it, might have to pay one of you guys to do it for me.

Well then why dont you get the single sleeved extensions from NZXT? They only have them sleeved in black, but from the photos it looks decent
 
The one thing i will say about the vantec sleeving is that it comes with an awesome little molex removal tool. I bought some of that sleeping like back in 04ish when i just got into modding my PC and still have the little tool. They should still come with it.

But ys just buy the NZXT sleeved extensions if you need them. I really doubt you will, just build the machine then make a decision if it's worth the effort to sleeve.
 
The Corsair HX series is very good yes, but it is not FULLY modular like the AX series.
