Best qwerty, biggest screen, MTN

Yeah im in the same boat.

Xperia - im a bit worried with all the issues, im also not convinced with its design and I haven't used a touch screen.

Touch Pro - Looks ok, but expensive.

E90 - Its got everything, all issues ironed out now best keyboard, huge inner screen. Only problem is its getting quite old and fugly.

Also considering the N96, but apart from the 16gb it seems like a downgraded N95 8gb.

i'm using the Omnia for some time now, look...every phone has its issues, but I really like the way the Omnia works and the many different options available, for user input.

Bang for buck, u get Garmin maps for life of the handset, 16GB storage, 7.2 HSDPA. The screen is also a nice size. On MTN 200 for 319. A good deal. At the end of the day, u need to see what phone does it for you. The Omnia does it for me cause its soooo configurable. And theres loads of WinMo software around. If you dont like tinkering and messing about too much, then stick with something more rigid and solid, like the Nokia. Nokia is always a safe and reliable choice.

If you can hang on just a little more, their new touch screen stuff is coming out. Once I went touch screen, I cant do without it ! I know hate working on keypad phones.

Would you take a omnia over a Xperia?

i say the KU990

HSDPA, Qwerty touchscreen keyboard, 5.1mp camera, xenon strobe flash, image stabiliser, automatic / manual zoom, excellent video recording features including onboard video editor, flash operating system, fairly compact and fits easily into your pocket ....

+1. I had one of those for a bit. It's not bad, the browser's good, etc but the touch screen only interface was getting to me a bit. (hard to use while driving, etc)

Xperia FTW - the closest you'll come to a HTC Touch HD Pro this side of 2009! 800*480 pixel screen and Opera 9 equals the browsing experience on the iPhone... And you have a full QWERTY kb...

Didya see the N97's keyboard has the space bar on the right hand side? Weird!

Here's a link to a N97 review - they compare it to an X1 and Touch Pro (amongst other...) http://www.mobile-review.com/review/nokia-n97-en.shtml

I am upgrading from an E70 now and it is such a great phone (best qwerty for fast typing and 416x352 res) that I cant find anything worthwhile. I've thought about the BB Bold, Omnia, Touch Pro, N96 and X1 but all all them have issues that will make me miss the E70. Hmm so far opting for Touch Pro. There are too many phones these days!

I also used an E70 for some time and it was an awesome phone. I've used many different Windows Mobile phones and personally, I'm off Winmo for now. Too many issues. I'm now using an E61i and am very happy with it. The Symbian OS is much more user friendly and stable.

So, if you don't need a touchscreen, I think the E71 is a good option for you to consider.

Any news on the availability of the E63? It's very similar to the E71 just MUCH cheaper ...
