Hey Guys

My wife is a rep so does about 40000- 50000km a year, which car / car brand has the best service plan ? I see most are 3 years but if there is an option to upgrade to a 5 years ? I assume there is also a car limit for the service plan ?

Thanks

I think Mazda , Haval , lexus and maybe kia have the longest. but you will have to double check.

Also keep in mind you can extend anything with toyota for peanuts.

Most dealers offer extended service plans for an additional cost.. Toyota, if I recall, offers up to a maximum of 7 years/200k km service plan..

So maybe a bit left field, but Alfa is trying to shake their unreliable image so they offer a 100 000km warranty/service plan currently.
Volvo also has a 100 000km warranty/service plan.

Both of those have a smaller theft/hi-jack risk* due to being less popular.

Budget that you're looking in would also help.

*refers to no evidence, merely my own logic.

I think you should get her to test out the million km warranty from Chery with a new Tiggo 4 Pro for us. (their service plan looks decent too btw)

Currently drives a Mazda 2 but the service plan just ran out and was hit with a 5k bill. Budget is around R 250-R
300k depending on what we can get for the old Mazda

The best service plan is the one that you don't take out. It's crazy to capitalise the cost of services upfront, and then pay interest on it, even over 3 years.

With that kinda mileage you're never going to use the "year" promise of those service plans.

After 3 years you're already doing 150,000km.

It honestly might just work out financially better for you to lease the vehicles.

Buy a Swift GLX at about R215 000, get a 7 year 280 000km warranty and put the R85000 into a fund and use it to cover costs. Run it to 250 000km and average under 6l/100km
