Best smartphone cameras in SA

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra has the most powerful rear camera setup of any smartphone launched in South Africa. It is followed by the Honor Magic6 Pro and Apple iPhone 16 Pro.

MyBroadband compared smartphone cameras using DxOMark's independent benchmark scores for camera performance.
 
Iphone 13 cant compete with an S23 ultra. 12mp vs 200mp and the night time shots walks over the iphone 13.

That’s pretty cool, still very happy with my iPhone 15 Pro Max, didn’t know it still performed so well compared to the latest competitors in Stills, I know in Video iPhone is still the best choice. :)
 
In my opinion, the iPhone still has the best video. My 14 pro blows s23 ultra’s out the park with that 4k 60fps. You can see a big difference (both standard camera apps and 3rd party)

I can’t tell a difference with photo though. Most modern phones take amazing pics.
 
Just went to a Huawei shop and tried the Pura 70 … unreal.

They have a test that none of the iPhones we had with us, could complete with the Pura

But I told the sales guy the market wasn’t ready yet and Apple will only do it when quality gets mature.

But whew we were embarrassed
 
Have done many video interviews using an iPhone 14 and an extension microphone. 100% clarity and auto light adjustment

What iPhones (not that we should believe anything coming from an Apple troll)
What test? A Huawei test made to highlight the camera's abilities?

OH and how is that Huawei with the other things a phone should do like processor speed, battery efficiency, google services, video recording etc? Is it the perfect package?
I haven't seen it mentioned on any best phone list?

Again, never lied or mislead or anything. I’ve always welcomed anyone to ask - but most people shy away?

But yea iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro. But I think the Pura is the best in the world? Not sure why you’d get so angry over the statement.

So they have a spinning disk that a phone - any phone - can take a photo of. Obviously the lighting is the same - but I guess they could have a system that detects other phones that somehow manipulated the light or something? I don’t think anything in the world exists - but it’s possible?

Thank god. Nothing against Avril, but that video could be 30s. Why on earth would you want to put a whole in the cap of oil bottle and struggle 2min to get it out, or else just remove the cap.

Did you ever see the video with fastest mobile chip in the world? Samsung are offering some amazing processors. Although the iPhone isn’t a long shot behind, it’s not a slow phone

And then the next year they went 48MP because the market wasn’t ready before that and they established the market.

Can ask Samsung the same. Why use 200mp when it can't compete?

The real purpose of the exercise was to show a group of people how effective a phone could be for cresting videos

She was the person who volunteered
