I'm new to the forum and not the most techno savy so would really appreciate the help and guidance.

My contract has just ended and I need to get a new contract but I'm struggling with what phone to get. I currently have an iPhone 5 . The most important features to me are camera quality , battery life and ease of use. My iphone's battery is shocking and the as much as I love Apple the iPhone 6 has left me a bit cold and I'm not really excited about it but after being an apple user for so long its not easy switching. What other options could I look at ? And
are they any good deals , I would like to get a Vodacom contract.

honestly, before the war of Ios vs android starts like it inevitably will let me jsut say, right now, you should wait for at least Feb. reason being the January prices are generally hiked slightly to make up for december losses due to christmas specials, so your contract will be cheaper in Feb.

Next up when it comes to Phones, I believe the LG G3 is by quite a deal the best phone on the market right now. second by a considerable margin is the Note 4, the sony xperia Z3, the HTC one M8 the S5, the LG G flex then the iPhone 6.

there are no windows phones on the list because, windows gave us internet explorer, internet explorer ruins lives(of web developers like me) any windows phone comes with IE and windows 8.1 so no matter how good the hardware is, by buying a windows based phone you are helping IE stay alive.

next up you are worried about the switch from iOS to android. the first few days will be an adjustment, and yes you will need to download all of your apps again, but guess what? they will almost all be free! then you will want to copy music over, and you will grab the micro USB cable the granny next to you used to connect her Black Berry, plug your phone into your PC and boom done, no itunes! no syncing!

eventually you will be staying at some friends place, and you forgot your charger, guess what? no lightning port, you can just use micro USB! so that old BB charger will charge your brand new phone!

in case you have not noticed I am quite anti apple, but that is just because I like logic and reason and don't care much for flashy merchandising, blatant lies about hardware performance.

If money and size is not an issue, Iphone 6 Plus. Excellent battery and display.

Don't listen to anyone dissing Windows Phone, i'm using one at the moment, and its very decent. My only real issue is no Absa app.
But performance wise, on given hardware, it kicks Androids butt.

If you need android, and Money again is no issue, i would go for the Z3, good battery and excellent build quality.
