Best solution to watch Netflix

If you want to check the maximum streaming resolution of Netflix on your Smart TV, watch the short video clips Example Short 23.976 and El Fuente 60MP10 - both on US Netflix. You should see a yellow caption on the screen which shows the current bitrate. Over time this should increase and reach a maximum if the streaming app has a low limit such as 480p (usually 1050kbps - 640X480, 1750kbps - 720X480 or 1350kbps - 640X480 for android).

Sorry chaps, my mistake. Just ran the test and get 1920 x 1080 at 4300kbps BUT can I say its nowhere as sharp as the ps3 and methinks the Roku is definitely better as well.

Just remember that with the Roku, you cannot specify DNS settings like you can on other devices (Apple TV). So you will have to set your router to the DNS that UnoTelly gives you. Essentially forcing all outbound traffic in your house to use UnoTelly DNS.

I didn't want this, so I sold my Roku and got an Apple TV where I could specify the settings.

The WD TV Live is a great option if you don't feel like importing a Roku.

Incorrect any non Unotelly traffic gets routed to Google DNS.

Most of us set the DNS on the Router (no matter what device we using) its so much Easier
 
If you have a PS3, just use that. Netflix is lovely on it, it even improved my quality vs viewing Netflix from the Samsung app on the TV.
