What are the best streaming boxes to purchase at a reasonable price.

^ Then you should change the heading from BEST to CHEAPEST 😂 😂 ....

You wiil not get "best streaming" tv box at that price. ... At R600 you must look at the sticks.

eg. >

Bought a cheap one, worked out to be kak. Bought MiBox 2 and been happy ever since.

Got a MiBox TV stick too, works well enough.

Remember, you get what you pay for. There are many cheap boxes on Takealot. Cheap does not mean any good. Bought a Q95 box and couldn't use Netflix without sideloading it. Latest versions also does not work

What did you end up getting? R600 will only get you the super low end boxes that are really slow and unreliable. And they have TERRIBLE remotes. The trick is to get the low end/budget stuff that work WELL.

I personally have this and wouldn't go lower spec wise, but it's out of stock: - runs everything smoothly, everything installs fine. Installed a third party launcher called "projectivity launcher" and it's so much cleaner and snappier than stock google trash. The only flaw is the internal memory is very tiny, around 5GB. I got official Youtube completely uninstalled and run SmartTube on it along with Stremio (honestly all you need nowadays).

A good alternative is probably - I've not used this but did use their "Mi TV Stick". Xiaomi products seem to be well made in general.

Stay away from the "MXQ" stuff unless you hate yourself.

I presume you would have to import them - preferably in a plain unmarked brown envelope... ;)

Same as the VSEE boxes ... , might be nice to have one to "fiddle" with but they are not cheap. :(

Especially as I basically, just want to see what it does and how. Tho these days, I no longer have the patience to play silly buggers with a locked, pre-programed box.
