-Greys anatomy- Its a soapy that tackels philisophical issues of life, death, love etc. Mostly watched by woman, I find it entertaining and intelligent and I believe it asks the right questions at the beginning monologue of every episode and gives interesting answers at the end for the viewer to think about and apply to their own lives. The relationship parts can be very frustrating though, and things always seem to go wrong for those people =( Makes me sad like a 3 yr old girl that just dropped her icecream.
-Dexter- Finally got my hands on this gem =). all about a blood spatter forensics expert that is trained to be a serial killer of killers. His fascination with blood stems from as far back as when he was 2 years old. Its entertaining, very different and deals with psychology and its very intense at times, and funny at other times. Great idea for a show! You start to like the guy alot, in a way you understand him, and in other ways you never will. Is right and wrong real? or is everything grey? Can we re-invent ourselves into whatever we want to be? Or does society and fate control who we will become?
-Trigun- gotta put my favourite anime here. Artistic, and also covers the very complex questions like.. Why are we here? What is right and wrong? Do you kill the spider to save the butterfly? do you save the butterfly and let the spider starve? Do you let nature take its natural course and not get involved? Is there a way to save everyone?
At first this anime seems silly and basically aimed at kids. Keep watching, it jumps from extremely hectic, to absurdly slapstick funny at a moments notice. I love this show. It has just as much to say as a Tarantino movie, and thats saying alot! There are deeper meanings, this anime will not be understood by children, but it can be enjoyed by them.
-Drawn Together- Hillarious. Makes fun of stereotypes and makes fun of everyones differences, whether they are racial, religious, cultural etc etc.. This show is probably the funniest show I have ever seen, and I think this is a step in the right direction to where things should be going. Making fun of differences and having a comedic approach to the issues around them. This show is not for the light hearted though, its extremely dark humour. Not for kids at all haha they make jokes about the most extreme things! If you think southpark pushes boundaries, then think again.
-Seinfeld- I have to agree with someone else who mentioned this, I love this show =P I actually haven't watched all seasons, Id love to watch those that I haven't. I thought it was pretty hillarious, the characters never really get old. One of the best displays of the potential of American humour. There are alot of bad american shows out there that are supposed to be funny and blatantly use the "laugh" button every 5 seconds even though nothing funny happened, but Seinfeld was the exception. It put me in a good mood every time which is always a good thing. We need more humour in our lives.
