Thanks this does look indeed like a little gem!

Dexter used to be #1 for me, until you give the wire a proper chance. It's slow, complex, demanding and difficult to watch until it becomes your world. You also can't miss any episodes and it needs to be watched from season one. Dozens of main characters, heavy slang (had me reaching for urbandictionary.com), but it's by far the most honest and realistic show I've ever watched. It's like a little window into the urban decay of a modern society exposed in an unashamed fashion. It won tons of awards including a Peabody, but never got the mainstream attention it deserved.

Not a fan of Lost or 24

Dexter is not that bad.

I watch Boston Legal, I am Earl, The Big Bang Theory, The IT Crowd, Jericho, The Simpsons, Scrubs and South Park more though.*

But The Shield takes the cake imho!

Haha yeah SG1 is pretty popular round the office. It's campy fun I guess, if u ignore the "acting" :D (ducks). Watched it quite a bit back in varsity.
 
+1 to SG1 and The Shield

Also liked a show called Smith, but it got cancelled mid-season I believe :(
