Good day all.
I would like to know how many Vodacom users would be interested in some kind of "Gaming APN". If there is enough support perhaps we can convince Vodacom3g to take our case to Vodacom and see where it goes.
My personal requirements are:
1. Reliability: Very little to no packet loss.
2. Latency: Best latency possible. (But what I usually get is good enough)
3. Free. I really don't want to have to fork out another R49 per month for this.
Not important to me:
1. Speed: Anything above 256k is fine by me.
2. Http, smtp, ftp, p2p, torrents: Unless the game needs some kind of p2p to work, I don't want this to be used to improve torrentz or things like that.
If anybody can think of anything else to add, please feel free.
Mods, can you please add a poll?
- Yes, I would give my left kidney for a Gaming APN
- Yes, I really, really want one, but will not pay for it
- I would use one if it were there, but I don't really care
- No, I am happy with what I get
- No, and I don't want Vodacom's focus to be taken away from their primary job of providing us with better connectivity.
- Don't care either way
