Hey guys,

So obviously I'm new here and know little to nothing about the topic, but I'm hoping someone will be able to help me. I'm currently on an MWeb 256kbps 3GB ADSL contract at R300 a month. I've found, however, that I've been using approximately 6GB of boosters a month lately, bringing my monthly bill up to around R800 to R900. This has made me think about expanding my horizons and I'd like to start looking at uncapped or higher cap (15GB?) internet options. Ideally I'd like to keep my MWeb e-mail address, which would cost me about R150 a month, so taking this into account, can anyone give me any suggestions or recommendations?

Thanks a lot for the help!

i'd recommend axxess express+, but i cant really compare it to anything else. So far its pretty good

+1.

Just get that option.

It's only throttled during the day anyway.

WebAfrica is also worth a shot, if you don't mind having 10gig instead of 15gig.
R490pm

I've got an Axxess Express+ account and it's the best thing since sliced bread. I've got the 384kbps account, but it works at full line speed from 8pm to 8am, and all day over the weekend. I reached my 5gig rolling threshold in the first 2 days of having the account, so now I'm capped at 192kbps instead of 384kbps during the day, but doesn't make a difference as I'm at work then.

Definitely worth it!

As for your mweb email account... you can have an email only option, meaning all you pay for is the email, and that cost about R50 a month

Great move! You left MWEB! I left last month and for the same price I paid MWEB, I can get a cap twice the size odd.

AXXESS Uncapped Firbre.

During the day you'll get either your full speed you're paying for or half speed if you hit the 10 day thresshold. On the 512Kbps you can download about 200mb per hour and about 100mb when you're being throttled. At night... You will run at your line speed - in my case 4Mbps line speed, you can usually knock over 100mb in about 5 to 8 minutes.

Support is good - even somebody there at 02:00 sunday morning (personal experience).

It is a bit pricy - so you'll have to fork out about R1800 to R2000 for the line and the 512 ISP account and in return you'll get to download few hunderd gig's of stuff.

Hope this helps.
