Best Uncapped ISP ?

Hi All and Everyone :)

This is a long read, i apologise in advance <--


Which ISP is currently the "Top Dog" to take for Uncapped Unshaped ADSL.

We all know there are Uncapped providers that advertise Uncapped and all these good things (but yet , they don't deliver and 2ndly they start throttling and shaping and and and...)


Which ISP is the best to take for Completely Transparent... Unmeasured , Unshaped, Unthottled .. Uncapped :)


Meaning they don't throttle you once a certian amount of gigs has been consumed, don't shape your P2p/ other ports when they want to, and don't limit you to a precise 250gig / 500gig or whatever AUP they decide on.


Which ISP is currently the , No Nonsens, Best bang per Gig, without any fuss ?


Personally i don't like ISP's that send you crappy emails saying your using too much (when it's uncapped your paying for), Example. It's like going to the Spur on a "eat as much as you can ribs/wings special", then one hour in, they say the ribs are all finished and no more wings left. I've never had that with Spur... thats why that special is so awesome (coff coff.. ISP's can learn form them. Don't change a good recipy)


To be Honnest, most users don't mind paying their good hard earned money for something that is giving exactly what it says and we don't mind paying for a good service that renders the results we expect. - In other words, We expect fast speeds and with good constant throughput.

We do however mind, paying good money for a service that keeps degrading or having to look for alternatives because we got "the finger" from our ISPs' via Email informing us that we are throttled or must download less or us simply being shaped heavily.


Any and all comments are welcome, I also invite the ISP's to come chat with the Users here.

Budget? No point in asking who is the best uncapped ISP if you are not willing to pay for something like a business uncapped account, as Chevron suggests.

Axxess is a lot more honest with their network notices where as AH hide network wide issues and try blame your line.

I wonder why Axxess hides it previous faults unlike AH, also does Axxess have a "clientzone" like AH?
 
Axxess Business, won't they shape P2p during business hours ? (as far as i understand that is the case on all Business products, AH & Axxes)

I'm also wondering if they won't have a AUP for data limit too. As most businesses maybe use 500gig. Wondering if they won't throttle too ?

No throttling at all, see for yourself.
 
Rickster, are you on an AH Business Uncapped or normal Uncapped account? (or Axxess) ?


Wonder if their P2p is also full speed during daytime.
 
I have been with a lot of ISP's, and Afrihost home uncapped has been the best for me so far.
Strangely enough, 2nd best was Telkom ISP :)

Where did you hear this? It is an option if you want for your business, but most people just leave business prioritization switched off for 100% unshaped.

Nope. No thresholds at all.
 
Why don't you maybe have a look at Wireless? Where do you live? Then I will have a look if I can maybe assist you with a wireless uncapped solution. Feel free to inbox me and we can have a look.

Business Uncapped accounts are the best. You pay a bit more but never have to worry about slow speeds.
Plus it will save you all the grey hairs and ulcers ;)
