Best VOIP service for calling 086...

I have a telkom line + adsl and want to add a VOIP service to the PABX as well.

Its in a surgery and medical aids have to be constantly called to confirm available benefits, blocking up incoming calls.

So I want to use a VOIP account to dial the medical aid's call centers which are 90% 0860/0861 and 10% 021/011.

Which service would be best?

Try FNB connect.. I useit @ home on my PBX..

As for the medical Aids, why don't you use the Medical Aid website to confirm benefits.. Most of them have websites so you can confirm benefits online.. It's much quicker and costs next to nothing..

Hi Dan,

Neoflex Voice Plus is R174.00 including VAT for device and line rental, there are no free minutes and all calls are post paid and billed in per second increments, another bonus is that mobile calls are only 95c.

Install is free (because you do it) Neotel supply a CDMA FWT ( Fixed Wireless Terminal) it has a RJ11 FXO/FXS port, you can either plug a normal analogue phone in the port or connect it to your FXO port on the PBX ( the same port telkom would use to connect to your PBX)

I would suggest that you check coverage with Neotel via their online app before you order.

The FNB connect is also a option as mentioned above, but quality is sometimes below standard...but for 25c per call it's okay.

Switch Telecom is R0.39 per minute peak, R0.27 off-peak for all land-lines (086, 087, 088, 089 included). Service fee is R49 per month.

For voip remember to always have 2 separate routers

Went with fnb connect and the service seems to be fine, numbers just take a bit long to connect but otherwise no issues.

I've been using FNB Connect for my cell phone calls, per second billing and excellent quality.
