Best way to fix this?

So I bought a wooden blind to replace the old aluminium blind that was broken. I decided to install on the inner opening of the window to match other blinds already installed by the precious owners.

Whilst creating a marking hole with a punch, the corner cracked and eventually broke off, see pics:

To add, I do have matching paint.

Do I use pollyfilla or is there another solution?

Smith&co have a small bag of ready mix plaster, ideal for fixing things like this.. it's not a structural repair, so you shouldn't drill into it afterwards.. before repairing drill hole for your plug and use a longer plug, one that will expand in the wall beyond the section you will repair..

The holes were actually level. I used my small level to aligned the bracket, its the walls that are out.

If you wanted the repair to be as strong as the plaster you could use Rockset or something similar.

You shouldn't be drilling that close to the edge. I would just use the two right side holes and upsize the fisher plugs a bit.

To fix it any filler should be fine.

I was trying to match the look of the previous installs which was flush. I will recess it further.

Thanks, did a quick google, it looks like it will work, I will swing by a hardware store tomorrow.
