hi all

i am looking for good advice on which wireless connection to go for. From what i hear adsl is the best due to latency issues however i am not able to get adsl because it is not supplied in my area.Currently i am using a normal dialup how ever this is costly especialy for hours of online gaming and if you like to play all hours of the day.

Another question is if a had a freind in an adjascent area to me, who is able to get adsl and i am able to reach him via wifi connectivity what latency issues whould i have given that there are so much bad reveiws going around latency with wireless connectivity.

Thanks

round-trip min/avg/max = 2.1/2.4/4.1 ms"

My ping time over a 1.5km wireless link (with quite a few trees in the way)

mainly local, what about wireless service providers like uninet and iburst.

well im on iburst, they had a few hiccups in their launch month, but they seem pretty good now. however, when playing on a wireless connection you have to do a lot of tweaking to get a decent ping. well, the games i play on iburst are starcraft(international server, runs perfect without tweaking), C&C Generals(international server, runs perfect without tweaking) and Wolfenstein Enemy Territory(local server, had to tweak to get ping below 300, ping is now at 50 :)
