Best wireless Controller for PC

Looking to hook up a wireless game pad to my PC - what should i be looking for ?

And where to get and whats the best [ read cheapest ] place to get it ?

I was looking at the XFX ones a little while back, and was advised to go for the wired one. Long cable, so parking my feet on the desk presents no problem, and no flat batteries either

i have the Logitech Rumblepad 2 and its perfect. laid out just like the PS2 controller with great response and long battery life.

have had over 25 hours playtime with the unit and no battery replacements as yet.
