I know this have been asked coutless times, but what options do i have for this type of course? I'm living in the claremont area and can't do full time. I found a course at new horizons in CPT but I'm not sure what qulaity the course is, if it only lasts 2 weeks.

Whats options exist?

PS I suck at self study so thats not really an option.

Well I did Java in high school, and from that have a basic understanding of what a peice of PHP code does, but I can't write anything for myself. Also know HTML pretty well.

Thing is I want to realize my own ideas instead of relying on programmers. I have plenty of ideas and even if i just fiddle and give half of them away it would be a great way to improve my skills as a programmer and widen horizons. I've written plenty of business plans for ideas I've had just never had the ability to realise most of them. Learning PHP and MySQL is a step in that direction.

Dude, there are tons of resources on the net and if you have some programming knowledge then you are all set to get started.

Decide what you want to do, then look up some examples on how others have done it, this would be the best way for you to start learning anything.

thanks, but I can't do self study. It just doesn't work with me...

Ey, don't be lazy.... Everything I know I taught myself from looking at online tutorials and what not.

If you already did Java then you are pretty well settled in. It shouldn't be too much of a new thing, since you already understand the basics of programming.
One good thing that I learnt was, planning the project is just as important as knowing how to construct the project.

Another important thing to know is that you must understand the logical side before jumping into a project. Having a lack of logical sense will only lead to frustration and self doubt. For instance, to defeat the enemy you must first understand the enemy. You must be so confident with yourself that you must pretty much be able to write the program in your head before even touching your keyboard.
