What is the best way to cut down on mic feedback?

Do I go with a usb sound card, pcie sound card or do I just need a better headset?

I tried my onboad and audigy 2 and both give various levels of feedback on my mic.

I have a Roccat kave and an asrock z77 :o

How do you guys do it? :D

Thanks.

Readjust the sensitivity on your mic and maybe your headphones are too loud?

Sounds like your mic is picking up on your earphones.

Necuno, my microphone picked up my earphone noise a few years back... It was such a huge issue and I could not get the thing to not pick up my earphone noises. I gave up and bought a separate microphone that is not attached to the earphones and my problem disappeared. Good luck!

I have a standing mic and headphones. No issues.
